NANO-ALUMINOSILICATES
ATOMICALLY ENGINEERED. STRUCTURALLY UNMATCHED.
NANOARC's nano-metakaolin is a manufactured, high-reactivity aluminosilicate nanomaterial developed using NANOARC’s proprietary QuantCrete nanotechnology.
Designed at the atomic and nanoscale level, it enables cement producers and concrete manufacturers to improve cement efficiency, reduce cement demand and develop higher-performance concrete systems.
Unlike conventional metakaolin, NANOARC nano-metakaolin is not mined, thermally activated or ground to achieve nanoscale dimensions. It is manufactured directly as a ligand-free nanopowder with controlled structure and exceptional reactivity.
QUANTCRETE META (Nano-Metakaolin)
Atomically architectured aluminosilicate nanomaterial
Particle size: < 20 nm (or 0.02 µm), 250x smaller than conventional metakaolin, 10x smaller than silica fume
Specific surface area: ~60 m²/g
Ligand-free nanopowder
Nano-Manufactured, not mined
No high-temperature activation required
No grinding required to achieve nanoscale dimensions
Designed for ultra-low dosage applications
NANOARC's QUANTCRETE META (nano-metakaolin) gives producers greater flexibility to optimise concrete performance.
Use it to:
✓ Reduce cement content
✓ Increase strength performance
✓ Improve durability potential
✓ Enhance existing metakaolin and SCM formulations
Whether the objective is lower carbon, improved performance or reduced material demand, QUANTCRETE META provides a new level of control over cement system design.
QUANTCRETE META is designed for:
Cement producers
Ready-mix concrete manufacturers
Precast concrete producers
High-performance concrete developers
UHPC applications
Advanced construction materials
Conventional metakaolin achieves performance through bulk addition. QUANTCRETE META achieves performance through atomically architectured nanoscale design.
The result: Less material. Higher efficiency. Greater formulation freedom.
NANOARC nano-metakaolin is designed to deliver high functional impact from very small quantities of material.
Compared with conventional supplementary cementitious materials, lower addition levels provide practical advantages throughout the supply chain.
Lower material quantities mean:
Less material movement
Fewer deliveries
Reduced logistics demand
Lower addition levels enable:
Smaller storage footprint
Reduced inventory requirements
Easier integration into existing production environments
A high-efficiency nanomaterial approach reduces the volume of supplementary materials required throughout the supply chain.
The carbon footprint of construction materials begins with how they are produced.
NANOARC nano-metakaolin is manufactured through a low-energy synthesis route designed to create the required nanoscale structure directly.
Unlike conventional metakaolin production, NANOARC does not rely on:
Mining of kaolin deposits
High-temperature calcination
Grinding to achieve nanoscale particle dimensions
The result is a manufactured aluminosilicate nanomaterial with a reduced production footprint.
Combined with:
Lower material volume
Reduced transport requirements
Reduced storage needs
Lower cement demand
NANOARC provides multiple pathways towards lower-carbon cement systems.

DOSAGE
QUANTCRETE™ META is designed for ultra-low addition rates compared with conventional metakaolin systems.
Recommended starting addition rates:
Concrete applications: 0.0001 wt% per m³ of concrete (~ 0.00008 wt% per cubic yard of concrete)
Cement systems: 0.001 wt% based on cement content
Addition rates can be optimised according to cement chemistry, binder composition, concrete mix design, target performance and desired cement reduction level.
Available for commercial supply and technical evaluation.
Bespoke commercial agreements are available for large-scale deployment, OEM partnerships and strategic manufacturing programmes.
PERFORMANCE BENEFITS
Ultra-low addition rates designed to maximise cement efficiency with minimal material input
Enables 17–40% cement reduction, depending on formulation, application requirements and performance targets
Enhances compressive strength performance (20 - 40%), enabling higher-performance concrete systems with reduced cement content
Designed to replace conventional metakaolin while allowing flexible partial blending where required
Compatible with existing cement, concrete and supplementary cementitious material systems
REPLACEMENT & BLENDING FLEXIBILITY
QUANTCRETE™ META is designed as a replacement for conventional metakaolin while providing customers with flexibility in formulation design.
Customers can choose the level of replacement based on:
Performance requirements
Cost objectives
Sustainability targets
Existing concrete mix design
QUANTCRETE™ META can be used as:
A full replacement for conventional metakaolin
A partial replacement blended with conventional metakaolin
A high-efficiency component within advanced supplementary cementitious material systems
CARBON REDUCTION VALUE
Reducing cement content directly reduces the embodied carbon associated with cement production. Where QUANTCRETE™ META enables 17–40% cement reduction, the cement-related carbon footprint is reduced by a corresponding amount.
This helps customers:
Reduce embodied carbon per cubic metre of concrete
Reduce reliance on purchased carbon credits or offsets
Improve sustainability reporting performance
Support lower-carbon construction targets
Less cement. Less carbon. Less carbon to compensate.
